I’ve adopted my Love Bristol and Bristol Balloons designs to fill up entire tea towels – why leave space if you don’t have to, right? ;-b
My Bristol Balloons tea towel has all the usual suspects on floating hot air balloons – the famous Clifton Suspension Bridge by Brunel, Girl with a balloon by Bristol artist Banksy, the Bristol logo, the grumpy owls, the #community from Stokes Croft, #loveislove rainbow balloon, and even those pesky sea gulls.
My Love Bristol tea towel has some new elements, most notably the DJ Derek street art homage in Montpelier. I wanted to include DJ Derek in my original design but I just couldn’t make him noticeable enough in all the stacked details and he deserved a space where he was visible. So I am very happy that I have managed to include him in a suitably prominent space on this design. Aside from that there is the Christmas Steps sign, The Mild Mild West by Banksy, the Bristol Bear, and this one is positively overflowing with colourful plants a la Gloucester Road independent shopping district.
These tea towel beauties will brighten up any kitchen, and makes a great gift for the Bristolian in your life, or maybe someone who misses the city? It can even be hung as a wall art if you think it’s too pretty to use. Win-win.
