I am so happy to share my brand new illustrated art print, featuring the stunning Supertubes Beach in Jeffreys Bay, South Africa.

My brand new JBay surf art – available in a number of sizes

I have been working on this print for quite some time, so am particularly happy it is not available in my shop. My new art features Supertubes Beach – one of the most renown surfing spots in the world – framed by majestic Cape aloes and fynbos vegetation. A surfer is just about to enter the water to join those who are already out there, waiting for that magic wave. There are even a couple of dolphins frolicking in the surf but you’ll need to search carefully to see them.

Below are some close up details of my Jeffreys Bay surf art print…

Jeffreys Bay has a unique visual character due to the Cape aloes lining the many beautiful beaches

As with my other art, this print was made with a variety of techniques. From my own watercolour textures, used for the sky and the sea, to my own hand illustrated flowers, people and birds and details in the waves. I combine everything in Illustrator and Photoshop to create the final composition.

All my art is printed on hand moulded cotton paper, made in Somerset (down the road!) from St Cuthbert’s Mill who have been making paper since the 1700s. The print technique is known as giclee, which uses special pigment inks that will not fade for close on 50 years.

The prints are available in a variety of sizes, from A4 and A3, up to A1 size. Note since A2 and A1 sizes are made to order (locally here in Bristol), it takes few weeks to turn around. You can find more information on this print and how to buy in my shop.
